Special olympics - exeter and district
The Special Olympics Movement is the 'third arm' of the Olympics Organisation, along with the Olympics and Paralympics. Its dedicated to enhancing the lives of those with an intellectual disability through training and competition in nurmerous sporting disciplies, in both summer and winter sports.
Special Olympics Exeter and District (SOED) is a branch of SOGB and currently provides Badminton. our website is www.soed.co.uk
The club runs weekly at Clyst Vale College for one hour, offering time to train and socialise with other athletes. Our mission is to create a sustainable sports opportunity for people with a learning disability in Exeter and area for their enjoyment and become potential athletes for Special Olympics at local, regional, national or international competitions. Most of our athletes thrive on the idea of winning medals!!
